Why Use Hydrocolloid?
Hydrocolloid dressings are made of elastic polymeric hydrogels, synthetic rubber, and adhesive materials. The most common gel is carboxymethyl cellulose. This gel can be firmly attached to the skin at the edge of the wound and can swell 12 times after absorbing exudate. They are primarily used for chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers and venous ulcers. For wounds in donor sites, the healing time is about 40% shorter than traditional treatment methods.
How To Use
Step 1

Cleanse the wound and dry the surrounding skin.

Step 2

Compare wound and bandage size. Bandage should be 3/4" larger than wound. Trim if desired.

Step 3

Peel off backing paper and place dressing.

Step 4

Place bandage over wound. Remove film and gently smooth and press for full adhesion.

Easy Removal
To remove the dressing conveniently:
  • Gently peel off the four corners of the water gel.
  • Gradually pull apart from the diagonal.
  • If you feel a tearing sensation, you can rinse with clean water to remove it.
